Layla is free, clear and back home sleeping in her own bed again.
When I put her to bed tonight, she looked at it, then at me. “A crib? Oh, MAN!” she said indignantly. I laughed.
The place is a mess again, toys everywhere. And I love it.
Stranger in a not-so-strange land
Glad to hear that Layla is done her prison sentence…I did a week in the hospital at age 10 or so, and know the kind of mind numbing boredom she faced. Hopefully this is the last stay for a long, long time.
She wasn’t so much bored as constantly terrified. I guess that’s the difference between a 2yr old and a 10yr old’s stay. Regardless, you’re right – here’s hoping it’s her last stay for a long, LONG time.
